July 16, 2011 CLEAR LAKE, IOWA 16th Annual Antique and Classic Watercraft Show hosted by the Clear Lake Chapter of the ACBS. It will be held at the seawall in downtown Clear Lake, Iowa. All wood, aluminum and fiberglass classic boats are welcome. The ‘Finned Fiberglassics’ are this year’s feature. Sept 16-18, 2011 QUINCY, IL Quincy Classic Boat & Outboard Show on Sept. 16-18, just one week prior to the ACBS International Show in Geneva. We think it will present a great opportunity for people to take in another great show on their way to Geneva and want to get the word out. We’re looking into a river cruise from Hannibal, MO to Quincy, IL (about 15 miles) on Friday afternoon that would include a tour of Samuel Clemons’ (Mark Twain’s) boyhood hometown. The cruise will include joining up with the fleet of many large classic cruisers that will be making their way from the St. Louis area to the Quincy Show and passing through Lock & Dam 22 on the Mississippi River, just downstream of Quincy. Another great feature of this event (besides all of the many antique and classic boats and outboards) is the BBQ Dinner at the Island Club on Saturday evening. The Island Club is located about 4 miles upstream from Quincy on an island that’s accessible only by boat. Great fun! The show concludes with a boat parade in Quincy Bay at 2:00 pm on Sunday. This year the show will be co hosted by the Mississippi Valley Chapter, ACBS, the Quincy Boat Club and the AOMCI. The Higgins Marque Club may join in, too.  Come join the fun!
