CRUISIN’ ‘08 on TABLE ROCK LAKE
Twenty-one Antique and Classic Boats went cruisin’ on Table Rock Lake June 6, 7 and 8, 2008 on beautiful Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri. Though the lake level was high and the winds unusually brisk, the cruise was a great success. Home port was at Rock Lane Resort and cruise destinations included Port of Kimberling, Port of Cricket Creek in Arkansas, Chateau on the Lake, and Big Cedar Resort.

This 1949 Tin Woody towed Todd and Karen Cushing’s 1954 Resorter from Omaha, Nebraska. Heads sure turned as they arrived!

Thursday evening was a chance to meet and greet old and new friends at Rock Lane Resort’s Port Grill. Here are four friends from Missouri, Oklahoma, and Florida.

Friday’s cruise went west to the Kimberling City Bridge with a stop at the Port of Kimberling City Marina.

Bob and Millicent VanDyke from Memphis, TN celebrated their 57th Anniversary this weekend. Other anniversary celebrants during Cruisin’ Week were Chick and Karon Wheat, Kyle and Jill Jamar, and CJ and Helen Graves.

Saturday morning’s 22 mile cruise went south under the Long Creek Bridge into Arkansas. Classic boaters were treated to Nature’s best show of the Ozark Mountains.

Twenty classic boats all lined up in a row at the docks at Chateau on the Lake was quite a site!

Saturday night’s event took place at John and Carolynn Thompson’s lake home. The Nancy Ellen, which is Dwight and Nancy Ford’s 37′ Owens Granada, provided transport for many of the participants.

Many local residents and Branson tourists enjoyed viewing the comings and goings of Classics on the Lake during Cruisin’ Weekend.

On Sunday morning, the cruise went to Big Cedar Resort for brunch on the deck of Devil’s Pool Restaurant.
