We’ve moved this very casual event to the first weekend in August. This is a “NO SHOW-just play” gathering with multiple days of fun things to do for everyone from spending just one day on Beaver Lake to a long weekend in the Ozarks!

The events are:

Pre-Event: Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Spend Thursday and Friday at Eureka Springs Arkansas shopping and exploring the historic town. Explore the website; www.eurekasprings.org. Arrive in the area Thursday and dine with boating friends at 6pm at the very unique Roque’s Castle at the town of Beaver, Arkansas overlooking the little Golden Gate Bridge on Table Rock Lake. More information is at; www.castleroguesmanor.com. Spend the night at the castle, or at www.bentonplace.com operated by our newest club members Ervin Capps and Rebecca Pope.

Friday Night Early Arrival: You can also book all four nights at www.whitneymountainlodge.com which is our base camp this year for Saturday’s Main Event.

We will be grilling hamburgers and grilled chicken sandwiches on the Lodges patio overlooking the premier view overlooking Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas at 7pm Friday. The Lodge has a bar!

Saturday’s Main Event: A day on Beaver! The boating day starts at the launch ramp at www.lostbridgemarina.com at 10am. The Tour plan is loose but requires only your suntan lotion, your beverages, snacks and your swimsuit to spend 4 to 5 hours cruising by the dam, and on to the Big Clifty Arm of Beaver Lake to Penitentiary Falls, Hogs auld Falls, and back to the McCollum Dock at www.eaglesbluff.net for an early evening BBQ at 4pm at the landing in front of the dock.

Sunday is a totally free day. Gather on the Lake again, or tour your way home….

Participants are welcome to store their boats before, during and after the events as Jacque and my guests at www.lostbridgestorage.com by calling the manager, Kristi at 479-359-2122.

OK…This is quite a bit of information. All the websites have maps! All the accommodations are extending special rates to Rendezvous participants. The rooms will go quickly, so book them early.

AND we will need a headcount for the three dinner functions, So how do you let us know you are coming?

Jacque and I, and Ervin Capps and Rebecca Pope are looking forward to hosting this year’s Beaver Lake Rendezvous!

Respond to; (guy@mccollumconsulting.com) guy (at) mccollumconsulting (dot) com and let me know if you are planning to attend and IF you are eating at any or all of the three dinners. (Prices are in the formative stage…but we expect each to be reasonable Thurs. $25, Fri. $10 and Sat. $10 is the current estimates..)

Beaver Lake is part of the White River, known for 200′ deep water and world class scuba diving. This lake has something to offer to just about everyone, from tall cliffs to the serenity of floating in a secluded cove with other Heartland members. Don’t be shy - if you don’t have a boat, there will be plenty of space with those who do.
